APARTMENT RENOVATION

Grand Army Plaza

 

Purchased in its original pre-war configuration, this generously apportioned apartment required only the selective removal of interior walls in order to create a more open plan, to allow natural light to penetrate the living areas, and to maximize the views overlooking Prospect Park. A central kitchen island sculpted in highly figured stone serves as an anchor to the design and delineates the kitchen and dining spaces. Throughout the house, restraint is balanced with the judicious use of color and texture to arrive at a harmonious design.
