PUBLIC SCHOOL LIBRARIES
School Construction Authority
The design of three public school libraries in two boroughs of New York City reflects the evolving meaning and use of library space. Where one school maintains a traditional approach with a wood lined walls filled with books separating digital learning areas by a glass wall, others created large collaborative work spaces for digital learning within the book room. In each design, new lighting, colorful finishes and furniture work together to provide inviting environments for students and faculty alike.
